Three Dimensional Cities

Fourth and Fifth grade students have been focusing on art of creating drawing that show height, width, and depth.  We used the basic four figures of sphere, cone, cylinder, and cube to create our unique design for city construction.  Students layered these shapes and added both shading and shadows to create a more realistic three-dimensional illusion.  The Medium for this project was paper and pencil but the final products are amazing.  Pay attention to the creative differences in the students’ work as they were allowed to make their city their own unique design.
