Kindergarten Abstract Art

Kindergarten students have been working on multiple aspects of art this year including color, line, and space.  Most recently students learned about the difference in realistic art or realism and abstract art.  Students focused on abstract work of Wassily Kandinsky and used his idea of circles to create this colorful abstract project.  Students used the medium of paper, pencil, permanent marker, and tempera paint.  Students also used multiple items for tracing their circles on the paper.  As always students focused on quality work and filling all the space with color and being consistent with their work.
Great job Kindergarten.
