A Picture Is Worth 1,000 Words

Third grade students worked on building their knowledge from their recent field trip to the Blanton Art Museum by creating their own masterpiece using the Medium of their choice.  Students were asked to create a work of art that they could then use as a starting point for a story.  We called this project A Picture is worth a thousand words relating back to the idea that we can learn so much when take the time and really look at the world around us.  Students had to include information about their artwork and brief write up on the story that their picture tells.
