Summer Staff Development

One August 8th a group of LISD Elementary Art teachers got together for a day of learning.  We started our morning with a sharing of ideas these were both project ideas and teaching techniques.  Its amazing how much you can learn when people are willing to share their ideas.  We then spent the afternoon in Austin viewing art the Laguna Gloria.  This was a very great experience where everyone got a chance to dig deeper into a wide range of art and consider how it relates to the human experience. A few of us even made time to make a stop at the Castle Hill graffiti park, which is a great place to find art in one of its most honest and raw forms.  All in all it was a great day that got us all excited about heading back to school.
