Little Learners (ELE) and paint

Every Thursday I get the privilege, and granted sometimes challenge, of teaching our youngest Faubion students.  Our ELE/Friends class has students ranging in age from 5 to having just turned 3.  This year most of the students in this class are new to our school so it has been a challenge to find appropriate lessons that will allow them exposure to art and different mediums.  Our first experience with paint this year was a success as the students were given a paper separated in 6 sections and asked to paint each section a different color.  We talked about how to treat our brushes properly and how to use tempera water cake paints.  All in all this was a successful lesson with each student having their own spin on the given assignment.  See the picture below of student work that was completed.  Great job little Panthers.
