Stained Glass Windows
Shade
and Tint
3rd
grade students recently finished their art rotation by completing an abstract
style painting where they had to create their own colors. Students focused on tint and shade and tried
to create an image that used multiple different shades of the same colors. Students only had access to primary colors
and white to create these colors and were required to use a ruler to achieve
straight lines in creating their design.
The final product looks very similar to a stained glass window. Medium
for this project was paper, pencil, sharpie, and tempera paint.
