This year the
LISD Art Show was a bit earlier than past years, which made it a challenge to
get every class represented. After some
last minute additions it worked out that every single grade level classroom was
represented in this year’s art show. It
was a great day with so many wonderful examples of how creative and talented
the kids of our school are. I was
especially proud of how many families came out to support their young
artists. It was a challenge to capture the
truly amazing art that was on display through pictures but here are some of the
better ones I was able to capture. Great

Shoes!
Shoe
Art
3rd
and 4th grade students recently completed this shoe art project by
using their own shoe as visual model and
sketching the most realistic version of the shoe they could. Students also looked at texture, color
variation, and shadows to help guide their shading and addition of details. Students used the Medium of simple paper and pencil to create these very
realistic shoes.
